This traveler is revealed to be Romana , a combat medic who initially suspected Jiro was a slave trader and wanted to "rescue" Kumi.

Jiro, an avid gambler, meets a mysterious traveler and loses his signature spear to her in a game of chance.

While the party deals with their internal frictions, an aquatic giant beast appears. Jiro is initially reluctant to kill it, but Kumi is eventually permitted to assist him.
