The story follows Mina, a beautiful, buxom woman nicknamed ("doll" in Italian). Following the death of her mother, Bámbola and her gay brother, Flavio, decide to open a pizzeria.

A local man named Ugo lends Bámbola the money to open the business but is killed in a fight with her boyfriend, Settimio.
