Under the harsh 4K lens, every microscopic skin imperfection, stress line, and pore was magnified. It looked clinical, not cosmetic. Traditional digital makeup tools were turning her skin into plastic mush, destroying the natural texture of her face and making the shot look cheap.

The actress looked flawlessly natural. You could still see the fine lines of her smile and the real texture of her skin, but the imperfections had vanished. It looked like she just had incredible lighting and perfect genetics.

The director was ready to scrap the shot and lose thousands of dollars in reshoots.
