She graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from the prestigious Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ) . She maintains a dual career as both a practicing technical expert civil engineer and a recording artist.

Born in Ankara in 1987, she is originally from the Alaca district of Çorum. She grew up in a household deeply rooted in traditional Turkish folk music.

It is an iconic, anonymous traditional Rumeli (Balkan-Turkish) folk song written in the Hüseyni makam.
