Set in the 1970s, the film follows an undercover Indian spy, Amandeep Singh (alias Tariq), who is on a covert mission in Pakistan to expose a secret nuclear weapons program. While undercover as a tailor, he falls in love with and marries Nasreen, a blind local girl.
