The police in Need for Speed Heat are notorious for being some of the most aggressive and challenging in the history of the franchise.

At high heat levels, the police employ heavy Corvettes, armored Rhinos (that attempt head-on collisions), and helicopters to pin you down.

Shortly after the game's release, EA shifted the development of the Need for Speed franchise away from Ghost Games and back to Criterion Games.
