Following the events of the first game, Agent 47 attempts to retire and seek peace as a gardener in a Sicilian monastery. After his mentor, Father Vittorio, is kidnapped by the Mafia, 47 is forced back into the International Contract Agency (ICA) to find him, leading to a globe-trotting journey through Italy, Russia, Japan, Malaysia, and India.

Released in October 2002, is the sequel to Hitman: Codename 47 . Developed by IO Interactive , it significantly refined the series' "social stealth" mechanics, where players use disguises and environmental awareness rather than just raw firepower.

Missions offer open-ended environments where players can choose multiple approaches, such as poisoning a target, sniping from afar, or staging an "accident".

For modern hardware, this game is extremely lightweight and can run on almost any current machine.

New items like the anesthetic (sedative) allow for non-lethal takedowns, while the updated map provides real-time tracking of NPC movements.
