In honor of the , the chefs met legendary conductor Gustavo Dudamel at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Inspired by the idea of musical harmony, the chefs worked in pairs to create a dish that balanced two opposing flavor profiles: salty, sweet, bitter, sour, or umami.

While there was no immunity on the line, a $5,000 cash prize was up for grabs.

The remaining 10 chefs were greeted by pizza legend , who challenged them to create a dish using alternative flours such as blue corn, buckwheat, and coconut—strictly forbidding all-purpose wheat flour.

Melissa King impressed with an almond flour financier, and Nini Nguyen utilized rice flour for a traditional crepe.
